After relocating to Denver from Kentucky, our clients sought to transform their Golden Triangle condominium into a home that reflected their personalities, passions, and lifestyle. Working within a modest renovation budget, they wanted to update the kitchen, two bathrooms, living room fireplace wall, and primary bedroom while creating a space that felt uniquely their own. As avid music lovers and collectors of art and books, they envisioned a home that celebrated creativity, individuality, and comfort in equal measure.

company kd responded with a thoughtful, highly collaborative design approach that maximized impact while respecting budget considerations. The renovation included a complete redesign of the kitchen and bathrooms, a custom fireplace feature wall, and carefully curated furnishings and finishes throughout. Partnering with local artisans and makers — including Seaton Frank Wood Studio for millwork, Design Within Reach for lighting, and George Stack Interiors for upholstery — company kd created a cohesive design that seamlessly integrated custom details with functional living spaces. The result is a home that feels both elevated and uniquely their own.

What makes this project especially memorable is the way it translates the homeowners' love of music into the language of design. A custom-built turntable station integrated into the fireplace cabinetry serves as both a practical feature and a reflection of the clients' identity. Throughout the home, contrasting forms, textures, and materials create a sense of rhythm and movement, echoing the diverse genres of music they enjoy and the eclectic nature of their art collection. Even in the serene primary bedroom, the dynamic pattern of Cole & Sons wallpaper introduces a subtle sense of cadence, resulting in a home that feels playful, expressive, and unmistakably authentic.
